Our Management Team
Dr. Donovan Yeates is BioTechPlex's CEO and Dr. Lid Wong is Chief Scientific Officer. Both principals have had distinguished academic research careers in Bioengineering and Medicine at the University of Illinois at Chicago (UIC). Dr. Yeates also has extensive management experience. Dr. Hua Mao, Head of Drug Discovery and Biology, has experience in molecular biochips, fluorescence, signal transduction, molecular biology, whole animal physiology and medicine.
In addition to BioTechPlex’s strong management team, the company has an extremely qualified and experienced scientific work force. BioTechPlex’s scientists and engineers have in-depth expertise in cellular and molecular signal transduction, cell and tissue engineering, immunoassay technology, whole animal physiology, molecular biochips, aerosol science, MEMS technology, microfabrication, biophotonics, digital signal processing, software engineering and information technology. It’s scientists and engineers have broad experience in research and development in academia, industry and medical device, biotechnology, diagnostic and pharmaceutical companies.
