Dr. Wong, a cofounder of BioTechPlex Corporation, is responsible for the oversight and development of the company's advanced technologies and their strategic competitive advantage in a highly competitive market place. Prior to forming BioTechPlex, Dr. Wong held positions of Associate Professor in Bioengineering and Research Assistant Professor of Medicine at the University of Illinois at Chicago. Dr. Wong has developed an armamentarium of novel systems and assays, using advanced sophisticated engineering and breakthrough scientific technologies. These novel systems facilitate the measurement of intra and intercellular function in vitro and in vivo.
Dr. Wong has applied these ingenious technologies to the understanding of epithelial function and airway pharmacology. Dr. Wong received his PhD in Bioengineering from the University of Illinois at Chicago in biomedical optics. He has 30 peer- reviewed scientific papers in top scientific journals. Dr. Wong served as a reviewer for several scientific journals and was a member of an NIH study section, primarily involved in the review of SBIR grants.
