Postdoctorate in Cell Biology - Mammalian Cell Culture |

Job Duties
Candidate will be responsible for the development and characterization of cultured ciliated cells for commercial applications and for internal usage. He/she will also be responsible for the development of standard operating procedures, the development of mammalian tracheal ciliated epithelial from multiple animal species, as well as the maintenance of other types of established cell lines. Available immediately.
Requirements
Ph.D. in Cell Biology or related field with at least 2 years of experience in developing and maintaining mammalian cell lines. Specific skill requirements include air-liquid interface (ALI) culturing for promoting cilia outgrowth and small animal handling and surgery. Experience in histology and SEM are highly desirable. Publications in the area of cell culture are preferred. Good communication skills are necessary. Compensation: commensurate with experience.

Candidate will be responsible for developing a fiber-optic linked micro pressure sensor for human and animal applications. He/She will be responsible for the fabrication of the pressure sensor using MEMS technology, integration and packaging of the system with fiber and electro-optics, and testing the system using small animals. Available immediately.
Requirements
Ph.D. in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or related field, with specialization in MEMS technology, with at least 2 years of experience in the following: mask design, photolithography, thin-film deposition and sputtering. Knowledge or experience in fiber and electro-optics is highly desirable. Good communication skills are necessary. Compensation: commensurate with experience.
