CardioDataPad®     Version 2.2

A Real-Time Heart rate Variability (HRV) and Heart Rate Modulation (HRM)  Analysis System: Assessment of cardiac autonomic function and cardiac  chaotic behavior.

(Please direct the inquiry to www.cardiacconnect.com)

CardioDataPad® differentiates itself by providing physiologically relevant moment-by-moment time-frequency spectral analysis of ECG signals along with their non-linear chaotic behavior with numerics and graphics updated every 30 seconds. This time-frequency analysis provides 10 times the temporal resolution along with 2-4 times the sensitivity of the conventional indexes of heart rate variability, HRV, recommended by the European Task Force (also calculated by CardioDataPad®). CardioDataPad® has been extensively validated.

CardioDataPad® provides:

•  Non-invasive indexes of sympathetic tone, parasympathetic tone, and their relative strengths

•  Beat-by-beat automated analysis of the power of the RR interval modulation frequencies of ECG signals as they are being  acquired

•  Powerful baseline stabilization technology

•  Fast analysis of pre-acquired ECG data

•  Elimination of the need for editing the ECG prior to processing

•  Chaotic analysis of the ECG including a phase plot and chaotic index

Correction for ECG BaseLine

Baseline drift in ECG can obfuscate the reliable detection of R-wave peaks. An algorithm was developed to adjust the baseline in real-time prior to R wave identification. An example is shown in the following Figure.

CardioDataPad® Applications

•  Cardiovascular Health: myocardial infarction, heart failure, hypertension, coronary artery disease, heart transplants, independent cardiovascular risk factors, and pacemaker evaluation

•  Diabetic Neuropathy: evaluation and monitoring of peripheral neuropathy and early detection of neuropathy in asymptomatic patients

•  Neurological Health: neurological diseases, syncope, circadian rhythm, clinical depression & anxiety disorders, and chronic fatigue syndrome

•  Sleep Apnea: evaluation of severity, evaluation of degree of autonomic dysfunction, and monitoring of treatment efficacy

•  Anesthesia: depth of anesthesia and effects of anesthetic agents on the autonomic nervous system

•  Physical Fitness and Wellness: sports medicine, exercise physiology, and aging

•  Drug Screening: evaluation of drugs which affect the autonomic nervous system

•  Safety Pharmacology: screening of new chemical entities (NCEs) for autonomic and cardiovascular side effects

•  Toxicological Screening: evaluation of the neurological and cardiovascular effects of chemicals

•  Biofeedback.
